Meet Higgins, he's a looker indeed lol Higgins is owned by one of my online friends, Thank You Chzkak & Higgins! Listen to him sing by pressing the button on the player above! This is really him!! (what a show-off :o) Can you pick the tunes out? Star Spangled Banner, Pop Goes the Weasel & of course he whistles at pretty girls!)
Here's what his owner writes about him:
" Higgins is an African Grey and is 8 yrs. old. He was traded for a knitting machine my step daughter had. The lady who was his first human mom, didn't want him. He was kept in a closed room, in too small of a cage, with no social contact for the year she had him. He instantly "bonded" to me....I am his "chosen person." He only tolerates my hubby and will bite him every chance he gets. Higgins talks very little; he prefers to whistle. My hubby is constantly whistling and it's easy for the bird to mimic. Higgins also mimics the squeaking bathroom door and only uses this noise for when we have gone in there or gone out the front door. He says, "hey, Hig", "dirty bird", "Boo", "hi bird", answers questions to: what does the doggy say?, what does the kitty say?, oinks like a piggy too. When asked, "what do you say to the girlies?", he gives the wolf whistle. His favorite song is the Star Spangle Banner. He sounds so patriotic, you just want to stand up and salute! He loves to be handled, which is rare for these birds. We swing, play "getcha getcha" and "hide in the cave." I can do most anything to this bird, without him taking a chunk out of me. He rarely bites the Mom. He never "poops" on the Mom either; will hold it if he has to. His diet consists of everything we eat plus Almonds. He wouldn't eat bird seed if he was starving! He is such a joy to feed...he just savors every little bite and eats like a hog. He loves meat, any casserole, cheese, fruits and all veggies...raw. Our menus are planned so that Higgins always has a casserole of some kind to eat. This week it was stuffed shells and also a macaroni and cheese casserole. African Greys are known for being excellant talkiers and able to understand every thing that is said to them. Our bird just enjoys whistling more than talking. One more note I might add, these birds are considered the smartest amongst parrots. The have the mental capabilities of a five year old and the social capabilties of a two year old. So, they are always in their terrible two's mode. What else you want to know? LOL...I think I just wrote a book!!!" Your a nut Chzak :o)) Higgins sounds like one cool bird!

The picture adjusts to the size window you have open which makes it very cool, the side your message appears on of course will scroll providing you have typed a message long enough to need it to move down. Go ahead and adjust your window size and watch the picture self adjust! Neat huh?!
