3.
Go to your folder (My Documents/Ready
To Mail Stationery) where
you've stored or unzipped
your Ready To Mail (.eml)
files, and click one open.
It should open in your Outlook
Express program with the Edit,Source,Preview
Tabs showing at the bottom
of the window, like the example
shown here:

Now
all there is to do in order
to send a great looking e-mail
is fill in the "To:"
box with the recipients address,
then backspace out the Subject
line and replace it with yours,
then highlight the text I
entered on the stationery
to mark your place to begin
your message. To highlight
just place your mouse at the
right end of the text that's
there then hold down your
right mouse button
and drag it to the left, stopping
at the beginning of the text
you want to remove, then simply
start typing your message,
my text when highlighted will
disappear when you begin typing
yours. The margins in all
my stationery has been set
and there's no need to change
it. Small changes may be made
to the pieces I've designed
such as font, font color,
and font size. Further changes
may destroy the scripting
involved in the piece and
it won't function as it was
designed.
When
your finished with your message
or need to look at it for
editing, just click on the
Preview tab and have a peek!
What
you see in the Preview
pane is exactly what your
recipient will see when
they open it, assuming
they are also using Outlook
Express! Otherwise the
OE stationery you send
will appear on their end
as plain text with attachments
that were used in design,
i.e.. background, music,
etc.
So be sure they use OE
too, and if not send them
here to see what you've
seen and get them started
using it too!! It opens
up a whole new world in
email, I Promise!!
The second type of stationery
I provide you with comes
with a "text box",
the wonderful writers
of these scripts have
incorporated these to
ease our use of this awesome
stationery. Here's an
example of the text box
I'm referring too:
Once
the text box is visible
as a result of your double
left click, you simply
highlight my text and
begin typing yours! I
don't recommend backspacing,
as it's so easy to backspace
too far and destroying
your stationery. Then
just like before you can
check in the Preview pane
to see what's going on
at any time:
On
these pieces with a text
box included, most of
the time the images included
in the piece is either
not visible in the Edit
pane or it may seem out
of place, rest assured
it is where it belongs,
click on Preview and check
it out! Notice the "ticker"
at the bottom of some
of the stationery, and
often times on web pages??
On the stationery I have
offered you, the only
script change allowed
is here, by selecting
the Source tab, and scrolling
down through all the html
you see, look for this
portion, I've outlined
it in
yellow
so
you can see which section
you need to be in, it's
usually near the bottom
of the page, to change
the message of the scrolling
text called the ticker,
highlight my text and
type in yours, BE CAREFUL
HERE you MUST STAY INSIDE
THE QUOTE MARKS located
at the beginning and the
end of the message. I've
underlined in green
the
part you can change here:
to
see your new "ticker"
message, click on the
Preview tab. Certain characters
are not allowed in the
ticker and will cause
it to stop functioning,
so stick to using ABC's.
:o)
Finally
one more thing you need
to know, if when your
using any of my Ready
To Mail Stationery and
the piece isn't functioning
as it did when you first
downloaded it, simply
CLOSE it, a box will pop
up like this:
Be
sure you JUST SAY NO!!
This will allow you to
reopen the stationery
and start over on a fresh
fully operational piece.
Remember you can use this
stationery over and over
again, and when your ready
to clean house it's tidy
to remove you simply delete
the .eml file for that
piece! Enjoy :o)
