In order to add links as described below you have to have your setting selected to Rich Text (HTML) See here for instruction if your not sure how.

Let's Get Started!

Begin your message and where you wish to enter a link just type in the words or insert the image you wish to make 'active' and click on the HyperLink symbol:
Then a small box appears and you need to choose what type of link your sending:

choose http: for a web page address

choose mailto: for your return e-mail address.

Be sure you've entered the address correctly by testing the link,
Click on the Preview tab and try it out!
You can use the same procedure using an image, highlight the image rather than the text:
When your recipient clicks on your mailto: link a new e-mail window pops up with your return address already there waiting to be sent!
Everything looks correct then your safe to send and know you have a made an active working link!! :o)
