· Ok it's time to begin adding some shading to bring some depth to your pot! · With your Back layer active go to Selections/ Select All/ Float and add a Cut Out effect, the settings shown here are basic, you may need to make adjustments depending on the size and shape you have made your pot and it's opening.
· Select none and make your Front layer active, Selections/Select All/ Float/De-Float and Add a New Layer. You need to add a couple different cut outs to the front layer so let's do them on separate layers so you can adjust if needed.
On one side you'll want to make the shadow thicker , using the same setting on both sides won't give you the same nice rounded look we're after. · Add another new layer and apply the second Cut Out:

these are basic starting point settings...... · Last step is to smooth out those jaggies the selection tool left behind, Retouch Tool/ Soften and very sparingly go around the edges of your pot both front and back to smooth them out, like a potter would with his clay *S*
