Make a Quick & Easy "Geo~Flare Frame in Paint Shop Pro!

Ready for a Quick & Easy frame effect that works on any image?

Let's do it!

Supplies needed to do this tutorial:
* Paint Shop Pro ( I'm using version 7 but this tutorial will work fine in any version)
* Two Moon plugin filter - You can download it here (all 3 collections) and unzip to your PSP plugin folder.

Right Click and select 'Save Target As' to use this image!

1. Right click and select 'Save Target As' on the picture above to download to your hard-drive to use in this tutorial or select an image of your choice!

2. Open your image in Paint Shop Pro and Copy / Paste it as a new image twice. You need 2 images open from the start. Close your original image, it's always best to work from a copy, this preserves your original for other uses. :o)

3. Save one image and slide the other aside for a moment.

4. Choose a dark color from your picture and set it as your background color, your foreground color needs to be set at null as do your textures.

5. Click on Image / Add Borders and use the following setting:

Border settings to begin

6. Change your background color to white and click on Image / Add Borders again, this time changing the values to 7.

7. Using your magic wand click on the white border so it's selected, then go to your extra image and copy, return to your working image and select Paste Into Selection, like such:

Select 'Paste INTO Selection'

8. Click on Effects / Blur / Gaussian Blur with these settings:

Gaussian Blur settings

9. While this border is still selected go to Effects / 3-d effects / Inner Bevel and apply this setting:

Your Inner Bevel Settings

10. Deselect and change your background color back to the dark color you chose before and Add another border of 3.

11. Change your background color again to white and Add a Border of 15.

12. Using your magic wand again select the white border, then right click and 'Paste into Selection' your image should still be in your clipboard, if not copy/paste it again :o) Do not deselect!

13. Apply your Gaussian Blur again using the same settings as before.

14. Click on Effects / PlugIn Effects / Two Moon / RotoBlade and apply this setting:

Two Moon / RotoBlade settings

You can play around with these if you'd like and see what you come up with! This tutorial is just to show you how I did mine and to wet your appetite to create new looks too!

Deselect your image and you are finished! *S*
This is a Quick & Easy framing effect that works and looks great on any image!
