Now let's open another New Image, with the following settings:
500 wide X 500 high / 100 Resolution / Transparent Background / 16.7 Million Colors (24 bit)
This gives us plenty of room to work.

On your New Image, add a New Layer and name it backdrop, then floodfill it any color you like, again this is just so you can see working with the lace better. Then Copy / Paste the Gold Heart image to your New Image window, it will paste automatically centered for you, rename this layer Heart, now Save the New Image in psp format and we'll continue.

Click on your Waved Lace window and get out your Selection tool, set to Rectangle / Feather 0 / anti-alias unchecked and we're going to select 3 pleats from your lace piece to use to work a border around this heart, as shown here on the right. You may want to zoom in so you can find the exact center of where you need to position your selection tool. Then click copy /paste as a New Image.

Now on that New Image you just pasted you have your lace, 3 pleats long we need to select the deformation tool and size it to a managable size, I suggest making it approximately 100 px high, use your ruler edge to help judge the height, then push Apply and Save this image in psp format. And minimize your large lace piece until later.

From here we're going to begin applying the lace border but please read below first!

Ok first thing to remember is the Deformation tool is your friend lol this tool really is a lot of fun to use in manipulating and positioning images, don't be afraid or intimidated to use it! The application of the lace will give you a good work out with this tool! :o)
Most of the deforming positioning is done by holding down the shift key while you nudge the corners of your lace while the deformation tool is active. There are no numbers to go by on this tutorial you just need to eyeball it and relax have fun!

Because I offer no actual numbers to help guide you I have taken screenshots to show you the beginning starting placement of the lace, and then a shot of the deformation in place before Apply is pushed, I recommend you do your positioning & placement of each piece at the same time before you push apply as your tool will not line up square on your lace section if you have pushed apply previously.

So it's easy just follow the steps here for applying each lace section:

1. Copy / Paste the 3 pleated lace piece to the Gold Heart working window
2. Select your Deformation tool
3. Move it into position
4. Do your nudging until your satisfied
5. THEN push apply!
6. Save Your Work!

Trust me I have tried this every which way lol and you need to do the first 4 steps
BEFORE you push apply!
After you push apply if your not happy simply click Undo and go for it again.

Patience is a virtue here! :o)

The end results are very rewarding!
