Metallic Vibrations........Background & Deco tutorial for PSP

Hi there!
Ready to make some Metallic Vibrations?
Let's get started!

Supplies Needed Include:

Paint Shop Pro 7 ( this tut will most likely work in earlier versions as well)

A Great filter I found called Two Moons! You can download a free version of it here, this is a 3 set collection and is freeware, then simply unzip them into your PlugIns folder in PSP and your ready to begin! Special Thanks goes to the author of this plugin Lindon Parker, for granting permission to Fluttrby Designs © to offer this filter for your access in downloading. :o)

1. Open a New Image size 300 X 300 / Black Background / 16 Million Colors/24-bit, go to Layers / Promote to Layer.

2. Assuming you have your Two Moon plugin installed go to Effects / Plug In Filters / Two Moon / Warm Cloth and apply this setting:

Warm Cloth Settings Using Two Moon PlugIn in PSP

3. Go to Effects / Geometric Effects / Wave and apply the settings below (PSP 6 users - it's located under Image/Deformation/Wave):

Wave Settings In Paint Shop Pro

Now as you have probably noticed by now the possibilities with these 2 steps alone are infinite :o) So play around and have fun! Use what ever design suits you!! The main thing to pay attention to the center of your canvas as this is what your going to make a seamless tile from, so your design will be coming from there.

4. Go to Image / Rotate and apply these settings:

Image Rotate to spin your design as desired

5. DOUBLE Click on your Selections button:

This is your Selection button in PSP :o)

6. You'll get a pop up box to apply these settings:

Double Click on the Selections button to apply these selection settings!

Notice this selects a square for you in the exact center of the canvas :o)

Check your selection is located in the center!

7. Click on Selection / Convert to Seamless Pattern and it will open in a New window for you Ready To Move On to the next step! Cool huh? :o) Save this Seamless Square as Background and close your old image your finished with it.
